ISCB-SC RSG-India KERALA Node @ NIT-CALICUT

The Regional Student Group (RSG) India – Kerala Node at the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) functions as a student-led initiative under the global network of the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB). To further strengthen these efforts, the students and faculty at NITC have formally registered the Association of Computational and Systems Biology (ACSB) under NIT Calicut.
The vision is to foster a vibrant and collaborative community in Computational and Systems Biology by uniting members from diverse academic backgrounds to share knowledge, drive innovation, and build advanced skill sets through workshops, hands-on learning, and interdisciplinary events such as conferences and symposiums. By engaging students and researchers from biosciences, engineering, and computer science in joint research initiatives and mentorship opportunities, the community aims to create a dynamic environment for collaborative learning and knowledge transfer. Outreach efforts will expand awareness and interest across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while partnerships with academia, industry, and alumni will facilitate guest lectures, internships, and employment opportunities. Ultimately, the association will promote entrepreneurship, networking, and skill development for real-world impact, enabling the creation of practical, innovative solutions to benefit society.
